ABB switch-disconnectors are designed, built and tested for the best possible performance. They are designed to be virtually maintenance-free across their entire extended lifespan and offer reliable performance in any and all possible circumstances. Durability has been ensured by testing switches against the IEC60947- 3, UL508, UL98 and CSA standards.
E-series distribution boards offer three types of protection-IP43 & IP54 degree with a metal door and IP30 degree without a door. The highest degree of attention has been paid to the safety aspect of the distribution boards, considering that they are installed in close proximity to people. An intermediate plate ensures total safety, as no live parts are exposed when the door is opened.
Capacitor switching application leads to very high current peak at capacitor energization. UA..RA contactors are designed with damping resistor to handle current peaks without limitation.
